On 22 October, Johan Randvere, an exceptional and unique representative of the younger generation of Estonian pianists, will give a solo evening in the newly opened Viimsi Artium Chamber Hall. The concert programme includes piano pieces from the best of Western composers– Chopin’s elegant and lyrical waltzes are juxtaposed with Prokofiev’s neck-breakingly virtuosic etudes and engaging fantasy compositions created by Rachmaninov in his youth. Clair de Lune, the third movement of the Suite bergamasque, by Claude Debussy is considered one of the composer`s most famous works for piano, as well as one of the most famous musical pieces of all-time.
Johan Randvere has performed with critical acclaim at in prestigious concert halls halls such as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Vancouver’s Chan Center, Milan’s Puccini Hall, etc. and has won prizes at several piano competitions. As a pianist, he has performed together with several orchestras such as the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra.
