Young Classics @ Viimsi Artium: Iris Aabloo and Triin Veissmann

Violinists Iris Eva Aabloo and Triin Veissmann have been playing together as a duo since 2016. They are both studying music with Tiiu Peäske and Triin Ruubel-Lilleberg at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. The programme of the concert includes solo pieces belonging to the key repertoire for the violin and besides that these works are the performers ´ personal favorites both by Estonian and foreign composers. Reet Ruubel accompanies the two violinists on the piano.

The concert series Young classical interpreters artists @ Viimsi Artium introduces the young talents of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. The concerts reflect the students’ broad spectrum from classical to traditional music and from violin to bassoon. The series includes performances by both freshmen and soon-to-be graduates, both Estonian and international students, soloists and chamber ensembles.

Iris Eva Aabloo is a first-year student at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where her supervisor is Triin Ruubel-Lilleberg. Iris Eva has won awards at national competitions for young violinists and has attended several masterclasses by outstanding musicians Mi-Kyung Lee, Kristoffer Dolatko, Eva Bindere, Dejan Bogdanovich, Karolina Weltrowska ning Andrea Gajic.

Triin Veissman is a first-year student at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Triin Ruubel- Lilleberg`s violin class. Her achievements include Gerald Knoll’s special prize at the Estonian String Players Competition (2020), the laureate title at the ESTA Young String Players Competition (2019) and the diploma at the IX Shavshinsky International Competition in St. Petersburg. She has participated in many ensembles and has been a soloist in front of various orchestras.Triin has also attended master classes both in Estonia and abroad with outstanding musicians Eva Bindere (Latvia/Italy), Prof. David Watkin (Scotland) and Feodor Shevrekuko (Russia).
