Tanel Ruben Quintet came together for the first time in the autumn of 2002 in a studio of the Estonian National Broadcasting, where their first piece “New Start” was recorded.
By now the Quintet has performed both in major Estonian cities as well as across the border in Finland, Russia, Belarus, Belgium, and France. Two albums, “Kogutud rikkus” and “Nõiutud veerandtunnid”, have previously been released, where Tanel Ruben has closely collaborated with the talented Estonian jazz singer and instrumentalist Kadri Voorand
In 2008, Tanel Ruben became the winner of The Elion Jazz Award, which is the most prestigious jazz-related acknowledgement in Estonia. It must be mentioned that all the other members of the Quintet won the same prize in the following years.
At the concert, the Quintet, with its characteristic lyrical but forceful style of expression, is going to perform a completely new program called “Every Moment Every Day”
