Young classics @ Viimsi Artium: pianist Nikita Fatejev (EAMT) together with the
piano students of Viimsi Music School

Nikita Fatejev started her musical career at the age of four and is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre under the professional guidance of Ivari Ilja, the Professor of Piano and the Rector of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Senior Lecturer in piano Mihkel Poll. During his studies, he has performed at concerts and participated in various competitions in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Poland, the Czech Republic and Italy, both as a soloist and with different orchestras. Nikita has participated in the master classes of accomplished pianists Eteri Andjaparidze, Antonina Suhanova and Mira Marchenko. He has won first prize in the international competition “Young Musician” in Estonia (2013), second place in the competition Concorso Pianistico Internazionale “Mozart” in Italy (2013) and first place in the “Best Young Instrumentalist” regional piano competition in Estonia (2019).
The concert series “Young Classics @Viimsi Artium” presents young musicians both from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and the Viimsi Music School who are willing to perform in front of the Artium audience. While performing at a joint concert, the students of Viimsi Music School can learn and draw inspiration from more experienced young musicians. We look forward to welcoming the young pianists of the future generation.
