Sofia Rubina is a brilliant jazz artist who transcends genre boundaries with her ingenuity. In her repertoire we find classical jazz pieces spiced with soul and gospel. On the other hand, the versatile musician is passionate about club music and funk. Sofia`s new album will be released in October 2023
Sofia Rubina says about her new album, “I wish to bring positivity into people’s lives through music, I want people to listen to their heart and cherish the beauty of the surrounding world”.
Rubina has performed at many well-known jazz festivals all over the world – from the famous Blue Note in New York to exotic Asian stages – and collaborated with some of the most renowned Russian, Latvian, Lithuanian, and American musicians.
In 2009, she was awarded the Young Jazz Talent Award by the Estonian Jazz Association and the international jazz festival Jazzkaar, and numerous other recognitions have followed.
Sofia Rubina has released five albums, one of wich, “In The Land Of OO BLA DEE” was awarded the title of Jazz Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards in 2016.
The album “Where It Begins”, released in 2019, has received the approval of fans and critics alike.
